Meet Guido…
He’s a VeggieBug!
…and he has also brought you a gift: a tiny little watercress leaf.
He knows it’s just a symbolic gift. Yet, he didn’t want it to meet you without giving you this leaf.
That’s Guido… the sweetest bug that ever lived!
Pepper-Toco Toucan
Very typical in tropical forests.
…as well as in tropical salads. ツ
Finally! An honest Fortune Cookie…
Daucus Carota’s journal entry on June 10th, 1989:
“…A storm of wind which appeared to be cast forth from an immense fan carelessly left in the direction of the open fridge roused the once quiet lettuce sea… suddenly a strong gale set in, and the lettuce sea became so high that the precarious pretzel raft rolled heavily, while huge waves of radicchio kept sweeping the unsteady deck.
While I tried to remain calm… behind me the pretzel mast creaked and groaned as to remind me that, once out of the package, pretzels are snacks that usually remains fresh, crunchy and firm for only a few hours… time was ticking. Literally. I could see the clock, far away, on top of the deep pan with water boiling on the oven. I had only one chance of escaping being part of their dinner…. and for that I had to swing the raft bow to starboard, contour the fresh-squeezed orange juice jar and finally reach the security of the Mainland Butter Soft™ pack…
That was my only chance of survival… so I went for it!”
Daucus Carota remains, up to this date, the only baby carrot who, alone, managed to survive and escape a lettuce sea storm in such precarious conditions.
His bravery and courage in face of culinary danger is celebrated till this day by all baby carrots of the world every year, on June 10th.
