Kiwi meets Kiwis

The Kiwi is the national bird of New Zealand (also known asTolkien’s Middle-Earth). They are sweet and secretive little birds. But what really makes these little guys special is the fact that they are flightless birds! They are also very shy and hard to spot.

However… and to my great surprise… my family and I spotted this little fellow here while he was trying to shelter himself among some of the kiwi fruits we had separated for our weekend pic-nic.

He’s fine now and been taking care of. Also, he decided to adopt Eggbert as his new ‘Mummy’…
